Exhibition: Pavel Dušek, Ester Knapová – Contemporary Istanbul

Pavel Dušek (*1992) is an author who cleverly torpedoes the boundary between private and public with his interventions in public spaces. However, his work is not limited to large concrete mosaics. Dušek is a painter who is fascinated by material both formally and content-wise. The question of energy, temperature and visuality of individual materials is a strong topic that he subjects to analysis. For him, the material is not only a formal, necessary and definitive carrier of the author's idea, but becomes the essential and subject matter of the content side of the image. In the years 2012-2018, the author studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, Painting Studio III of Michael Rittstein.
