Karolína Netolická
Bio
Karolína Netolická studied at the Higher Vocational School of Applied Arts in Prague on Žižková náměstí from 2013 to 2016, and from 2016 to 2022 she studied at the AVU in Jiří Petrbok's drawing studio. The domain of her work is drawing with dry pastel on canvas, her sense of colorism, drawing confidence and skill, and the ability to think creatively are also visible. He works with multi-layered figurative compositions or animal compilations, quite naturally inclined to large format. In his drawings, he tries to capture two different, but at the same time interdependent worlds - he contrasts the world of man and the non-human world (nature). He most often compares the human and bird worlds. In general, he perceives nature as a lost home, to which it is possible to return only under the condition of changing our previous behavior and lordly attitude. In the paintings, the barriers or boundaries between man and nature are tried to be expressed symbolically by means of human products of the present time. She works brilliantly with decor, and her canvases are more like large-scale designs for an animated film.
