Bio

Filip Dvořák was born in 1990. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he studied in the studio of Jiří Černický and Marek Meduna. He is known for his innovative approach to artmaking and for combining various media and techniques. His work includes objects, relief collages, assemblages, video projections, and interventions in public space.

Filip Dvořák is a laureate of the Essl Award, a prestigious prize given to young artists from eight European countries. This recognition highlights his exceptional artistic talent and his contribution to contemporary art.

In 2018, he also received the Critics’ Award for Young Painting, underscoring his ability and originality in the field of painting. He is interested in diverse media and techniques and explores new ways of applying painting within the contemporary art context.

Filip Dvořák lives and works in Hrádek nad Nisou.
