Group exhibition – 0 m2: exhibition for Naděje
Ondřej Vyhnánek (*1983) spent years moving across the Czech graffiti scene under the name X-DOG, taking the best of what it offered and giving back in equal measure. Rather than endlessly polishing a single graffiti tag, he focused on a range of themes—paraphrases of the superhero world, caricature, and social critique. Creating in public space without limiting boundaries allowed him to fulfil his artistic ambitions, strengthened his artistic identity, and opened the direction for his future creative work.
His themes revolve around the future of humanity, the essence of human existence, death, and what may come after life. His work includes warning visions of sci-fi cities depicted in symbiosis with surreal animals or plants, a mutating society and nature, human obsessions and phobias, attempts to conquer foreign worlds, as well as responses to his inner world and broader societal issues. His current work returns more strongly to nature, though the core themes of life and death remain—along with a dose of irony, sarcasm, and exaggeration.
He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions across the Czech Republic, and has also left his mark in cities such as Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
