Group exhibition – Trafo Art Salon 2025
Magdalena Roztočilová studied painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Jaroslav Róna and completed internships with Krištof Kintera and Florian Reither (Gelitin). Her major recent works include the sculptures Delichorn (Selb, Germany) and the Memorial to the Victims of Communism (Boskovice). She is a founding member of the Prám studio, where she focuses on her own artistic practice and works on sculptural commissions.
She mainly creates sculptural works that often overlap with installation art. Shape and mass are essential for her, but so are color and material. Thematically, she focuses on depicting the human figure and representing thought processes in the form of a physical body. Portraits are a recurring motif—especially stylized self-portraits, each of which is a unique moment that differs from the others. The overarching theme of her work is the search for different forms of reality through the search for one’s own.
